Free GC was founded in 2022 with a simple but focused mission: to provide free copies of The Great Controversy to anyone who personally requests one. What began as a small outreach effort has grown into an international distribution ministry, fulfilling over 5,000 requests and shipping books to more than a dozen countries around the world. Every book sent represents an individual request—someone actively seeking truth, history, and deeper understanding.

Free GC was started by Dr. David Hunter, a medical doctor with a longstanding passion for sharing faith through literature. For years, he has been committed to evangelism through the printed page, believing that books can reach places and hearts in ways few other methods can. His love for Jesus, his deep interest in ancient and biblical history, and his conviction that these themes matter for the future all played a role in launching this mission. Alongside a small, trusted board made up of close friends and supporters, he continues to steward the organization with care and integrity.

Supported by a loving family, active in his church and local community, and strengthened by others who share the same faith and commitment, David’s vision remains steady: honor every request and place this book into as many homes as possible—one person, one order, one shipment at a time.
